Employee Engagement Survey (EES)
Employee Engagement Survey is the Rolls Royce of the employee surveys. It measures beyond the employees’ satisfaction to the key point of their engagement levels with the company. “Employee Engagement” is a combination of attitudes and priorities that has a consistent and predictable impact on their behaviour. Those attitudes include satisfaction, commitment, pride, loyalty, a strong sense of personal responsibility, and a willingness to be the advocate of the organisation.
While employee satisfaction is important, it is neither as valid nor as reliable a predictor of business outcomes, as is employee engagement. In fact, some employees are likely to be more satisfied when their workload is light while other more engaged employees are likely to be more satisfied when they have a particular challenging goal.
EES provides critical insight to the employees’ attitudes towards the organisation in terms of the levels of their engagement. It identifies the clusters of ‘engaged’, ‘not engaged’ and ‘disengaged’ groups within the workforce. This helps the management to formulate and implement more appropriate programmes by selecting the key target group that need specific attention to increase the desired engagement level.
