Winning Job Appraisal (WJA)

For a fact, the Annual Job Appraisal is supposed to be a two-way thing. More or often than not, the employees allow their bosses to take charge of the process. Your superior generally outlines what you have, and have not accomplished, against a set of preset criteria established at the beginning of the year. However, a good portion of the preset criteria is likely to be subjective. Most often it is employees who take them on at face value and assumes they could handle them with ease.

However, the positive and negatives aspects outlined at the appraisal session would form the basis for promotions and salary adjustments. On many instances, employees leave their appraisal sessions feeling unhappy, yet they do not revisit the process until the next appraisal.

The WJA equips the employee to be in charge of his/her appraisal every time. The programme is designed to help the participants clearly understand the various key elements of the KPI/work target assignments. WJA assists to develop winning strategies for them to take charge of the appraisals process.

WJA gets the participant to:

      • Identify the key elements of the performance indicators.
Establish the magnitude of impact of each performance indicator.
Prioritise an action plan and establish a time frame.
  Monitor the action plan.
  Communicate outcomes at regular intervals.

WJA ultimately builds confidence for the participants to take charge of his/her annual appraisal, develop practical work plans for the year to achieve the desired promotion and salary adjustment based on performance.
